Please join us on Tuesday March 16th to discuss the future of geospatial information services and coordination on the UW-Madison campus! The purpose of the event is to bring together groups from across campus to identify strengths, areas of improvement, and discuss how to best coordinate geospatial research, teaching, and outreach at UW-Madison.
The forum will provide an opportunity for the UW-Madison geospatial community to meet one another and share ideas on how best to direct coordinated efforts on campus and achieve specific goals identified by the group. Attendees will have the chance to break into small focus groups to discuss issues in four main areas: (1) Geospatial Data; (2) Information Exchange & Networking; (3) Education & Training; and (4) ‘Help-Desk” Support.
Following the summit, outcomes from the discussion will be synthesized into a working paper to be shared with the entire UW geospatial community. Participation from the widest variety of practitioners on campus will make this event a success!
Anyone interested in attending is asked to register for the event, so we can update you with the latest information as it becomes available.
