The 9th Annual Geography Student Symposium will take place Friday, April 9, 2010. This day-long event features research presentations by graduate and undergraduate students in the Geography Department. This year we will also have a poster session. Please consider attending as your time allows – this is an excellent opportunity to learn about the kinds of research going on in Science Hall, and active engagement with peers and faculty can be extremely beneficial for the presenters (especially those prepping for the AAG meeting). Also, please encourage your advisees to participate either by making a presentation or by making a poster. This is a outstanding chance to showcase some of the great work going on in the department.
The symposium will conclude with a keynote talk by recent alumnus Dr. Robert Rose. His talk will take the place in Science Hall 180 at 3:30.
We’re looking forward to an outstanding symposium this year! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either or .
