Some of you may be interested in a bi-annual event hosted by URISA on GIS in public health scheduled for June 2011 in Atlanta. The conference is designed to explore the many uses of GIS for public health access, processes, and decision-making. It was developed as a result of a high level of interest in the ‘public health program track’ at URISA’s annual conference for several years. The inaugural conference took place in May 2007 in New Orleans. In 2009, the conference was presented in Providence, Rhode Island and the event will be presented every two years.
