The GIS Day Expo 2011, sponsored by UW Geospatial Alliance, will take place on Wednesday, November 16th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Memorial Union on the UW-Madison campus.
The GIS Day Expo is a great opportunity to share how you use GIS technologies or provide a support/educational service with a wide audience as well as network with others in the professional geospatial comminity. This bi-annual event regularily attracts over 40 exhibiting organizations and 300 attendees. This year’s theme is “Mapping the Wisconsin Idea” and we are particularity interested in projects that exemplify the Wisconsin Idea. The 2011-12 academic year is The Year of the Wiscosnin Idea at the UW-Madison which celebrates the University’s committment to service and collaboration for the benefit to the surrounding community, the state of Wisconsin and beyond.
Exhibition as well as attendence are free and the event is open to the genral public!
